Dennis L. Atkinson Jr. is a film composer and orchestrator specializing in narrative-driven scoring for

film, television, and visual media. His work has been featured on major platforms, including Prime Video,

Tubi and Apple TV, with credits spanning feature films, independent cinema, and broadcast productions.

 

Dennis approaches every project with a story-first mindset, crafting music that supports character,

emotion, and pacing while enhancing the visual language of the screen. His scores blend cinematic

orchestral writing with modern textures, resulting in music that is emotionally grounded, dramatically

precise, and always in service of the narrative.

His recent projects include original scores for the feature films Entitled, A Naughty Christmess Story,

and Starting Over Blues, as well as orchestration work for NBC’s The Voice and Super Bowl LVII

productions. He is known for his collaborative process and works closely with directors, producers, and

editors to ensure the music integrates seamlessly with picture and story.

Dennis is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where he received formal training in film scoring and

orchestration, further strengthening his technical foundation and cinematic approach. Based in the

United States and working remotely worldwide, he is available for original scoring and orchestration for

film, television, and narrative media.
